The keylab has cv and gate, midi, and several other in/out ports. I’m pretty sure the komplete only has midi over usb. Oh I think the keylab has more connectivity too. Because of how good the keystep is I’m leaning towards replacing my Novation launchkey with a keylab. I have a keystep that is my favorite controller for hardware synths and a microfreak which is my favorite hardware synth. I use several pieces of Arturia hardware and the build quality is always really good. If you use native instruments komplete software I would go with the komplete kontrol but if you don’t use the native instruments software the Arturia is probably a better buy. The key lab does have more stuff to play with like pads and sliders. I would recommend going to a music shop if possible and try both out to see which feels better to you. Like if you use Ableton both should work fairly easy. The Komplete is designed to work with Native Instruments software but can also be assigned to any controls in most daws.
Honestly it depends on the daw you use though. All the knobs and faders can be assigned to any controls you want. The keys have a really nice feel for a MIDI controller.
